The Onslow County Beekeepers Association (OCBA)
membership meetings occur the
2nd Tuesday of every month from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
at the Hines Park Park & Stables
1259 McCallister Rd., Jacksonville, NC.

Meetings include an educational component for beginner and experienced beekeepers, a question and answer session, association business, and announcements. Raffle and 50/50 drawings are available to members only. 

Members are invited to come early and mingle with other beekeepers.

Outreach

OCBA members participate in many events and educational outreach opportunities throughout Onslow County


Education

OCBA members receive classes during all member meetings with content for both beginner and experienced beekeepers alike. In addition, a Beginner's course is offered yearly


Mentorship

OCBA members receive many mentoring opportunities including hands on experience in the local apiary

 Membership with NCSBA is not a requirement to become an OCBA member. However, there are many excellent perks to having a NCSBA membership to include membership to the largest volunteer led State beekeeping association in the United States, receiving quarterly Bee Buzz magazine, access to a complete library of beekeeping books and DVSs, and allows attendance to the annual Spring and Summer meetings where attendees hear prominent speakers, attend informational workshops,  and save money by shopping with vendors and meet other beekeepers.
